Tuesday, May 1 from 6-7PM: Join Julia for a fantastic adventure into the land of cheese molds. Why do cheesemakers use certain types of molds in making cheese? What causes those wrinkly rinds? If I eat that blue mold, will I turn into a blueberry? To eat the rind or to not eat the rind of a beautiful brie, that is the question. We’ll have gastronomical fun trying different styles of cheese – all made with lifesustaining mold. Come a little early, enjoy the market, grab a seat and get ready to love cheese! Komforte combines chocolate and whimsy to take candy bars to the next level with these savory combinations. Never thought of putting ramen in your chocolate bar? Think again, as the salty spice lifts the flavor of the bar and the noodles sprinkled throughout add a satisfying crunch. In addition to Savory Ramen, check out Tortilla Lime, French Toast, and Apple Pie. While the slightly wacky flavors may sound like they were dreamed up by a child, the premium chocolate used and the subtle touch make these a treat for palates of all ages. Meet the Robert and Peter, Co-Founders of Komforte
Chocolates at our in-store Kiosks:
Using a grandma's own recipe and hailing from the culinary mecca of France, this almond water works beautifully as a natural beverage (serve chilled) or as an ingredient in your next gourmet meal. Our Culinary Artists recommend using it to cook your rice in for extra flavor or adding it to sparkling water to make a spring spritzer.

Taste and discover the flavors of Mexico and gourmet foods
from the Southwest at the Kiosks this month. New to us,
we’ll have the world-famous El Pinto Salsas. Everyone from
tourists to presidents stops into the New Mexico restaurant
and now you can find their wares on our shelves. If you’re
in search of a taste of Texas, try the Cookwell & Co. Chili
Mixes. We’ll also get you hooked on the authentic Amalia’s
Mexican Sauces for your tamales or enchiladas. Ojai Cooks
Carne Asada Marinades will be just the thing for making
your meat ‘muy bueno’. This week is your chance to try all
of these great products, plus Salsa Asiago from Satori: aged
Asiago wheels with an exotic mélange of sun-dried tomatoes,
onions, garlic and ancho peppers infused in extra-virgin
Spanish olive oil. Sound good? We'll see you at the kiosk.
Huge, flavorful dry-aged T-bone steaks make
for a memorable Memorial Day! Part New York,
part Tenderloin, we dry-age them for a flavor
unlike any other. Swimming up to Seafood in June will be the famed Copper River and Taku
River Salmons. Along with our vast selection
of BBQ Sauces, Marinades, and Dry Rubs,
our Culinary Artists in the Kiosk are always
happy to help you pick cuts, pair dishes, and
offer cooking tips.

Coming to the stores in
late May are these Dr. Oz
recommended, all-cheese crisps. Unlike crackers, the
entire crisp is made of Parmesan, lending a rich, cheesey
flavor and feather-light texture. Great snacks for lowcarb
or gluten-free diets; they go well on salads or in
soups for all eaters.
