Richter Farms Berries
are Back!
When you think of plump juicy berries, think Richter Farms! Nestled in the fertile Puyallup Valley Richter Farms is dedicated to producing premium quality raspberries-the berry that put them on the map! Even the New York Times touted them as the best raspberries in the country. Thirty years of experience and knowledge have guided the Richter Family in allowing his berries to develop naturally, so they can be picked at the peak of flavor, pre-cooled, and packed all within the farm. In addition to red and golden raspberries, Richter grows several varieties of blackberries, nectarberries (a type of boysenberry and Richter's personal favorite), tayberries (a raspberry/blackberry cross), gooseberries, and red, black and white currants. Available mid-July.
Local Blueberries!
July proceeds with another super plump and juicy selection of berries, this time with local blueberries from the Northwest. With moderate daytime temperatures and night cooled by the breezes off the Puget Sound, the Northwest has the perfect climate for growing these exceptional berries. Our local blueberries are delicious addition to pancakes, scones and ice cream, but we find the best way is out of hand! Low in calories and packed full of disease fighting antioxidants, blueberries are a healthy indulgence! Available mid-July. |

Everyone's Favorite Stone Fruit
Sweet Cherry trees are unique in that they are one of the most rapidly maturing fruits. The trees bloom with brilliant white blossoms toward the end of March. Then, within 60 days those blossoms have matured into the sweet, healthy fruit for which the Northwest is famous. Snack on cherries from June until August. |
