The time is ripe for the Northwest's most succulent strawberries. Show us your favorite way to eat them (besides over the sink, with the juice dripping down your chin), and you could win $150 gift certificate to spend at Metropolitan Market.

Want to be one of those lucky contestants, making strawberries the center of attention in your favorite dish? Sweet or savory, baked, mixed, or blended, we just need an idea of what you plan to make. The ten most interesting, delightful, and strawberry-starring dishes will be chosen to compete on the 23rd. Contestants will be notified by email on June 15th if they are selected to compete.
The Contest: June 23rd
On June 23rd, ten selected contestants will get to pick up a flat of fresh-picked (that morning!) strawberries to take home and make into a wow-worthy dish starring that special summer fruit, the local strawberry. (If your dish takes more than a day, arrangements can be made for earlier pick up). Our panel of local food personalities will taste each dish and choose winner.
The Fine Print
No purchase necessary for entry. Contest starts June 6, 2012 and ends June 23rd, 2012. Contest is open to all residents of Washington State over the age of 18 or with parental consent, if minors. One entry per person. Approximate retail value of prize is $150. Winner will be selected by panel of judges as selected by Metropolitan Market and will be notified by email in the first segment and announced at the event in the second. Event is Saturday, June 23rd, at 3pm. Winner may be required to sign a release and affidavit of eligibility.
