Apple Cup Recipe

Apple Cup

Makes 1

This is one thing upon which both WSU and UW fans can agree—this cocktail is a Washington winner!

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces Woodford Reserve Bourbon
  • 2 ounces Washington apple cider
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • 1 ounce dry hard cider
  • 1 large ice cube
  • apple slice, for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a shaker, stir together all ingredients, except ice and apple slice.
  2. Place ice cube in an old-fashioned glass and strain cocktail into glass. Rub rim with apple slice and add it to glass along with a sprig of thyme.
  3. Bartender's Tip:
  4. If you want to slice the apple a couple hours ahead of time, dip slices in a bowl of salted water for a few seconds. Remove and refrigerate until ready to use.
