Muffaletta Sandwich Recipe

Muffaletta Sandwich

Serves 1

Try the famous New Orleans sandwich of layered meat, cheese and olive salad at home. Great as-is or grilled on a panini press.


  • 1 Grand Central Bolo Roll or other crusty French roll
  • 1 Tbsp Metropolitan Market Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 5 slices Metropolitan Market Mortadella
  • 5 slices Metropolitan Market Genoa Salami
  • 2 slices Metropolitan Market Speck or Prosciutto
  • 2 slices Metropolitan Market Provolone
  • 1 Tbsp Metropolitan Market Olive Salad or olive tapenade


  1. Cut roll in half. Spread Metropolitan Market olive oil on cut side of both halves. Top bottom half with slices of Metropolitan Market mortadella, salami, speck, provolone, olive salad and top of roll.
  2. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate to allow the flavors to merge or up to a few hours, or enjoy immediately.
