Bacon-Wrapped Dates Recipe

Bacon-Wrapped Dates

Serves 4 to 8

This classic, three-ingredient hors d'oeuvre is always a hit!

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
  • 8 Medjool dates
  • 2 ounces blue cheese or goat cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Place bacon on a microwave-safe plate and cover with a paper towel. Cook in microwave on high 1 to 2 minutes to pre-cook.
  3. Cut a slit in each date; remove pits. Fill each date with about 1 teaspoon of cheese. Pinch dates closed to seal. Wrap one piece bacon around each date. Secure each with a toothpick.
  4. Place on a foil or parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until bacon is browned. Serve warm.
