Amaro Negroni Cocktail Recipe

Amaro Negroni Cocktail

Makes 1

A warmer negroni, the complexity of amaro is beautifully balanced by the depth of bourbon and the sweetness of vermouth. We love it and think that you will, too. Our top choice is Averna Amaro, but Ramazzotti is also very good. Using classic Campari is a little less complex but will add an orange touch.

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 1 ounce bourbon
  • 1 ounce Amaro Averna
  • 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
  • Strip of orange peel, for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a mixing glass or shaker of ice, combine bourbon, amaro, and vermouth. Stir until chilled.
  2. Strain into an old-fashioned glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with orange peel.
