Oven-Baked Bacon Recipe
This is the best way to ensure perfectly cooked bacon with little mess - especially when feeding a crowd. It also allows for taking care of other things (like pancakes and eggs) while it bakes.
- 1 pound bacon
- Adjust oven rack to middle position. Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Arrange bacon slices in single layer on large, rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment or foil. If you have a rack that fits within the baking sheet, place bacon on rack for extra crispy bacon that stays out of the fat while baking.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes for thinner bacon and 18 to 20 for thick-cut or until done as desired. Using a paper towel, pat bacon dry of excess fat.
