Vendor Demonstration Program Guidelines

Dear Valued Partners,

We look forward to having you in our stores to share your unique products with our guests. Please read our guidelines prior to requesting a demonstration. If you’ve done a demo with us before, make sure to re-familiarize yourself with our guidelines as they may have changed since we last saw you.

1. Proper food safety, insurance, and food handling permit requirements must be observed.
2. All products must be maintained and transported at the proper temperatures (under 41° F or above 135° F), unless shelf-stable.
3. You can only sample a product, flavor, variety, etc. that Metropolitan Market carries at that store location. We want our guests to be able to find and purchase the great things you share with them.
4. All demonstrators are required to provide their own single-use gloves to handle all of the product prior to, during, and after the demonstration.
5. All vendors are required to bring their own single-use cups, napkins, tasting utensils, etc. Preferably compostable.
6. All vendors are required to bring their own table.
7. Demonstrators are required to wipe the surfaces of the area they will be utilizing before and after the demonstration. Any trash that was generated by the demo must be taken out.
8. Demonstrations must be requested at least four weeks in advance.
9. While in our stores, you are sharing the product and representing Metropolitan Market. Please maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude.
   1. Please refrain from eating, drinking, or using a cell phone while conducting a demonstration.
   2. Appropriate clothing attire is required, including closed-toe shoes and proper hair restraining.

Note: After the completion of your demo, you will receive a small feedback form. Please let us know how your event went by filling out the survey. We use this information to make sure we’re doing our best as hosts for our vendors.
