Protein Powder Peanut Sauce

Makes about 1 cup

This zippy sauce boasts a boost of protein! Try it with fresh spring rolls, satay skewers, and noodle bowls.


  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons protein powder (like Sprout Living Simple Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice or unseasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons grated, peeled fresh ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Chopped peanuts


  1. In bowl of food processor, combine all ingredients with 1/2 cup water. Whirl until smooth, stopping to scrape down side of bowl once or twice.
  2. Taste and adjust to preference. Add more water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  3. Spoon into a container, cover, and chill until ready to eat. Garnish with chopped peanuts just before serving.
