Saigon Spiced Vodka Recipe

Saigon Spiced Vodka

Makes 1/2 liter

Delicious on the rocks or topped with a splash of ginger beer or sparkling lemon soda. Pour into a decorative bottle when giving as a gift.

  • 2 cups vodka
  • 3 stalks lemongrass
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise pod
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorns

  1. Pour vodka into a clean, decorative bottle.
  2. Trim tops of each lemongrass stalk to fit into bottle. Trim ends, remove, and discard tough outer layer from each stalk. Smash end of each stalk with a mallet to allow maximum release of flavor. Insert stalks, ends down, into vodka.
  3. Add cinnamon stick, star anise, and peppercorns.
  4. Seal bottle and store at room temperature for one week before serving.
