How to Freeze Strawberries Recipe

How to Freeze Strawberries

Freezing fruit is one of the best ways to bring spring and summer flavors to the table later in the year. Enjoy frozen berries in pies, smoothies, and homemade freezer jam.

  • 1 pound fresh, ripe strawberries

  1. Rinse strawberries and drain well.
  2. Remove tops and place fruit on a clean towel. Allow to dry fully.
  3. Spread berries on a parchment-lined sheet pan or plate and freeze until firm (about 2 hours). This will prevent berries from sticking together.
  4. Place frozen fruit in a sealed freezer bag, expelling as much air as possible. Keep frozen until ready to use.
