Winter Margarita Cocktail

Makes 1

Your summer favorite got a winter makeover. Tequila añejo brings greater depth accented with flavors of orange, cranberry, and cinnamon.


  • Ice
  • 2 ounces fresh orange juice
  • 3 ounces tequila añejo
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • 1 1/2 ounces unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish
  • Sugared cranberries (see Cook's Tip), for garnish


  1. In a shaker full of ice, add all ingredients except garnish. Shake until outside of shaker becomes frosty.
  2. Slowly strain into a glass (serve it on the rocks or straight up). Garnish with cinnamon stick and sugared cranberries.
  3. Bartender's Tip:
  4. To make sugared cranberries, stir cranberries in simple syrup. Remove with a slotted spoon. Roll in granulated sugar. Allow to dry.
