Amaro Old Fashioned Recipe

Amaro Old Fashioned
Serves 1
We played with one of the oldest mixed cocktails to bring you a rich and balanced drink - like a dessert for adults! The sugar is substituted by Averna Amaro which is sweet with a beautiful blend of spices. If you cannot find Averna, Ramazzotti would be great, too. It's a little less complex but is a very versatile amaro.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz (2 Tbsp) bourbon
- 2 oz (1/4 cup) Amaro Averna
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- Ice
- Garnish:
- orange peel
Directions:
- In a mixing glass half full of ice, combine bourbon, Amaro Averna, and Angostura bitters. Stir until chilled.
- Strain, and pour over a large ice cube. Garnish with orange peel.
