Smoky Grilled Shrimp Recipe

Smoky Grilled Shrimp

Serves 4 to 6 as an appetizer

The hardest part of this recipe is just waiting for the grill to warm up!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound shrimp (16/20 count), peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat grill or cast iron pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, toss shrimp, chili powder, salt, and olive oil.
  3. Cook shrimp 2 minutes. Flip and cook an additional 1 to 2 minutes. Remove as soon as they turn opaque.
  4. Cook's Tip:
  5. Thread 3 - 5 shrimp with two bamboo skewers to prevent them from falling through grill grates and make them easier to flip.
