Kahlua Horchata Cocktail

Inspired by sweet, creamy horchata, a popular Mexican drink, made of rice milk and cinnamon. This coffee cocktails is sure to be a crowd pleaser, store bought rice milk enrichened with heavy cream and simple syrup make the ways of traditional horchata in this grown up version.
Ingredients
- Cinnamon sugar
- Ice
- 4 ounces rice milk
- 1/3 ounce heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 2 ounces tequila
- 1 ounce Kahlua
Directions
- Coat rim of a tall glass with cinnamon-sugar (see Cook's Tip). Carefully fill glass halfway with ice.
- Pour rice milk into a liquid measuring cup. Add heavy cream and simple syrup. Stir.
- Carefully pour tequila and Kahlua into sugar-rimmed glass.
- Slowly add milk mixture. Stir and enjoy!
Cook Tips
To coat rim of glass with cinnamon sugar, mix 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or use jarred cinnamon-sugar) together on a small plate. Moisten rim of glass with rice milk or water. Dip in sugar mixture.
