Pickled Shrimp Appetizer

Serves 6-8 as appetizer

This recipe uses our cooked in-house shrimp. Find it in our Fish Market.


  • 1 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 cup Metropolitan Market Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 small shallot, sliced
  • 10 medium garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp coriander seeds (see Cook’s Tip)
  • 3 Tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 lb cooked shrimp (31-35 count size), peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley


  1. In a large bowl, whisk together vinegar, olive oil, and salt.
  2. Add shallot, garlic, coriander, dill, and shrimp. Toss gently to combine.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hr or up to 24 hours.
  4. To serve, plate shrimp and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  5. Cook’s Tip:
  6. For more flavor, crack the coriander seeds with a mortar and pestle or with the back of a spoon.
